Average is 4 to 7 days; many men undergo the procedure on a Thursday or Friday and return to work or school by the following Monday
What types of restrictions are there after surgery?**
- Return immediately to non-strenuous activities which do not raise your heart rate or blood pressure, and won’t result in breaking into a sweat
- Resume strenuous activities in 2 weeks
Is the procedure covered by insurance?
Although sometimes covered by insurance, the procedure is most often considered cosmetic and therefore not covered
Other details:
- You will need to wear a compression vest day and night for 4 to 6 weeks after surgery
- You may shower 24 hours after surgery
- There are no stitches to remove
