Who is a candidate?
Women with large breasts who have some or all of the following symptoms:
- Back/neck/shoulder pain
- Breast pain
- Difficulty exercising due to large breast size
- Difficulty finding clothing that fits correctly due to large breast size
- History of chiropractic care or physical therapy for back/neck/shoulder pain
- Need for specialty bras or wide-strap bras
- Rashes beneath the breasts

No, but insurance may cover an in-hospital observation period of 23 hours
How long will you need to take off from work/school?
Average is 4 to 7 days; many women undergo the procedure on a Thursday or Friday and return to work or school by the following Monday
What types of restrictions are there after surgery?**
- Return immediately to non-strenuous activities which do not raise your heart rate or blood pressure, and won’t result in breaking into a sweat
- Resume strenuous activities in 2 weeks

- No drainage tubes are inserted
- You will need to wear a sports bra day and night for 4 weeks after surgery, then a comfortable bra during the day for 8 additional weeks
